Rise of Intelligence, Decline of Truth

"Nexus: A Brief History of Information Networks from the Stone Age to AI" by Yuval Noah Hariri "asks us to consider the complex relationship between information and truth, bureaucracy and mythology, wisdom and power. He explores how different societies and political systems throughout history have wielded information to achieve their goals, for good and ill. And he addresses the urgent choices we face as non-human intelligence threatens our very existence."

Fake quotes, altered photos, and AI generated videos are making it virtually impossible to distinguish fact from fiction. Intelligence and truth are not synonymous. We are hurtling toward a world controlled by a few -- a world where centuries of "civilization" is at risk. Where humans become pawns at the mercy of those who master AI.
